Number 67 - Sunday Evening Carelessness
Dawn broke. Thinking that this was the beginning of another week, I felt afraid.
At present we have reached a good point in the publicity effort for "Tales of Earthsea". We are extremely busy preparing the second trailer for GW[1], TV spots, the second flier[2], tie-up deals with cooperating partner companies. Writing this, it sounds like we are "flat out working", but it would be more accurate to say that rather than being "extremely busy", the feeling is that we are "running all over the place".
If I were to start complaining there would be no end to it, but, for the time being, I can't help regretting the 3 hours I spent, although I'm an idiot with computers, fiddling with a computer program, the graphics program "Illustrator", that I have no idea how to use.
Translator's Notes
[1]: Golden Week. This is a week when several public holidays run together, giving most workers, effectively a week off. This is a major holiday season in Japan and hence a good time to get trailers in the theatre.
[2]: Japanese cinemas (I don't know about elsewhere), typically have a collection of A4 fliers for upcoming features, located near the ticket counter or the entry/exit. These fliers can also be found at convenience stores and various other locations.
