Subject: [Ghibli-announce] [MH-announce] Mononoke stamps

The Ministry of Post and Telecommunication of Japan has announced that it will
issue special stamps to commemorate the 20th Century. One of the images chosen
was "Mononoke Hime".
Based on votes from people, a committee chose 141 items that represent the
20th Century of Japan. Among such things as the World War II, Atomic Bomb,
Tokyo Olympics, and Godzilla, Mononke Hime was chosen to be one of such stamps.
MPT will start issuing stamps in August 1999, till December 2000. A sheet of
stamps will be issued every month, each sheet containing 10 different kinds of
stamps.
At this point, we don't know exactly when MH stamp is coming out.
