Nikkei newspaper ran a short article about Joe Hisaishi on May 16. In it,
there was a sentence,

(Hisaishi) says "I feel that I can not go forward as a film music composer
unless I myself have an experience as a film director". It seems that he
will start working as a film director in this year.
