Slashdot.org is running an article about an attempt to create a full-scale working replica of Nausicaa's glider (Mehve). The project is led by Kazuhiko Hachiya and he and his team have successfully flown a 1/2 scale model.

Due to the popularity of Jump to Japan for adult and teen audiences, TCM is opening its doors for six nights during the exhibition for adults and teens. Special programming and lectures will be scheduled for these nights and further information will be available on our website shortly.

Starting in Seattle and making its way through 76 other museums by 2008 is the "Jump to Japan" exhibit co-produced by the Minnesota Children's Museum and the Seattle Children's Museum. Of note to Studio Ghibli fans is the "Interactive Magic Cat Bus". The show begins January 24 and runs through June 6.

Several Miyazaki films are showing at the Seattle Art Museum in conjunction with the exhibit. The films are free with admission to the museum.
