July 11, 2001 Miyazaki Press Conference
On July 10, a press conference and a test screening of "Sen to Chihiro no Kamikakushi" was held in Tokyo.

You can see an article (in Japanese) and a picture here.

From left, HIIRAGI Rumi (Sen), SUGAWARA Bunta (Kamajii), KIMURA Yumi (the singer of the theme song), and Miyazaki-San. (Character figures not included.)

At the press conference, Miyazaki-San said that this is the last *feature-length* film he makes, saying that it is now physically impossible to endure the long and hard work of directing a feature-length film. (But that's what he said when he made Mononoke.) He said that he will spend his time for the Ghibli museum and such in future.

He also said that he is very happy with the film.

The film will be released in 330 theaters around Japan on July 20, the biggest release ever for a Miyazaki film.
