"It is well known that the mass media routinely offers a disagreeable perception of anime and anime fandom. However, efforts by anime fans such as yourselves have proven that the media can be easily influenced to recognize anime for what it is in an unbiased manner. It is the purpose of this project, as a service by and for anime fans, to help change the mass media's misconceptions about anime, and to offer a more balanced perspective."
