July 30, 2003 Miyazaki Media Mentions
Several Miyazaki-related notes rolled into one news item:

Andrea Baricordi wrote in to inform us that Kappa Edizioni is publishing in Italian the novels behind three of Miyazaki's films: "Kiki's Delivery Service", "Howl's Moving Castle" and "Spirited Away". The "Spirited Away" novel (Sachiko Kashiwaba's "Kiri no Muko no Fushigina Machi" or "The mysterious town behind the fog" or "Il misterioso paese oltre la
nebbia") is not a direct source for the film but is considered an inspiration.

Douglas Goldstein wrote in, "in our latest issue of Anime Insider, we wrote a feature profiling and reviewing all of Miyazaki's films." Look for it at larger bookstores or your local comic book store.

Oliver Coombes mentioned on the MML that the August's issue of the British film
magazine "Sight & Sound" contains a review of "Castle of
Cagliostro
" and a letter to the editor "taking the magazine to task for its blind spot as regards 'Japan's number-one director'".
