Ponyo BD Details

AV Watch (machine translation) held a roundtable interview with Ponyo producer Toshio Suzuki, Atsushi Okui (Director of the Studio Ghibli Image Engineering Department), and Yoshiichiro Kashiwagi (Panasonic Hollywood Laboratory, person in charge of the Ponyo BD conversion). According to Kashiwagi, PHL developed a "Ponyo filter" for the BD.

Suzuki says, "Of course we will continue production of BD in the future. But I want to ask Kashiwagi-san for it. We continue the BD editions as long as Kashiwagi-san handles the BD of Ghibli."

Kashiwagi appeared on two episodes of the "Ghibli Asemamire" radio show (episode 80, episode 81).
