Nausicaa BD Heading to UK

Home Cinema @ The Digital Fix reports that the Nausicaa BD is due October 18 from Optimum Home Entertainment. Japanese and English audio tracks are included as well as a smattering of extras.

Laputa and Yamadas BD Spotted on Amazon

Amazon.jp has listings for Laputa and My Neighbors the Yamadas with a release date of December 22.

The cover style is similar to the recent Nausicaa BD, the title text with outlines of the characters.

The Young Animators of Ghibli West, Anne of Green Gables DVD

Yomiuri Online writes about the activities by Ghibli West in Toyota City. Trained in the basics of drawing by five veteran animators and with overall supervision by Miyazaki, the 22 animators will move to Tokyo in September and begin work on a short film to be shown at the Studio Ghibli Museum.

"Akage no Anne -Road to Green Gables-" theatrical edition DVD and BD (no subtitles) will be released on November 17.
