Hayao Miyazaki All about the director |
How Do You Live? (君たちはどう生きるか Kimi-tachi wa Dō Ikiru ka?) is the 12th animated theatrical film directed by Hayao Miyazaki at Studio Ghibli.
Studio Ghibli producer Toshio Suzuki suggested that the film be called "The Boy and the Heron" outside of Japan because so many people thought the film was an adaptation of the novel when it is not related to the film beyond inspiring the title.
The film won numerous Best Animated Film awards including the 96th Academy Awards Oscar, 77th BAFTA, and 81st Golden Globe Award, among many others.
