Templates

Apologies for the many saves of the same pages. The reason is I've been testing templates, and I have to save them before I can preview them, usually on my own user page. I'm still trying to work out the syntax for some of the features of templates, to see what we can use to automate page creation.

I'm using my user page for template testing, so it's not by accident that it looks like a set of failed markup experiments. There are also links to all the templates, as much for my use so I can quickly get to them and edit them.

The newest one is Template:films, a film list for inclusion in any page. It's unformatted, so can be formatted when included in a page, and I've included a couple of variations here JohnBlackburne. As all film names are links it shows which have been created and provides edit links to those that haven't yet been.

Welcome

Sorry I didn't get around to welcoming you before. Thanks for helping out. All the templates look nice. :-) --nihonTalk 16:39, 5 February 2007 (EST)

Logged on as I just made two anonymous edits, undoing some crude vandalism. A bit surprised that both I and the vandal could do what we like anonymously. It works for Wikipedia but that has many thousands of editors + bots ready to fix any problems. --JohnBlackburne 13:29, 12 December 2008 (UTC)

Anonymous editing is enabled to encourage casual editing, although it seems to have attracted more spam. Most vandalism doesn't stick for more than a day thanks to the other editors.
