Hayao Miyazaki All about the director |
Created for NTV's (Nihon TV) 40th anniversary, the Japanese title Nandarō (なんだろう What Is It??) implies that even its creators didn't really know what kind of creature it was supposed to be.
Nevertheless, NTV chose it as their network's mascot.
The creature also appears as the "cursor" in the multi-language opening of Porco Rosso.
